Welcome!
I approach therapy with a blend of humor, warmth, curiosity, and humility and believe that you are the expert on you. Living in this world can be challenging, all the more so for the ways you may be impacted by systemic oppression and inequitable systems, and I appreciate the steps you took to get to where you are. Together we can explore and harness your personal, relational, and cultural strengths, resources, and hard won wisdom toward navigating personal, relational, and systemic challenges. My goal is to create a warm, inclusive space where you and/or your loved ones can strengthen your relationships and grow into the fullest, most authentic expression of who you are.
I am currently completing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, practicing under the supervision of Jessica Haas, LMFT. I received my Masters of Divinity from Harvard Divinity school and have experience in domestic and sexual violence prevention and response, meaning-making, religion and faith, religious trauma, and youth development. I offer Prepare and Enrich Assessments for those seeking premarital counseling and have received training in Anchored Relational/AIR Network Therapy for complex trauma and dissociation. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples/partners, and families.
I strive to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy and cultivate an inclusive space for all identities, including those who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+. I am grounded in a neurological and somatic understanding of trauma and integrate a variety of systemic theories in session, including Narrative and Experiential theories. In other words, I believe that by expanding the stories we tell ourselves and reconnecting to our bodies, we can also expand our capacity to respond to difficulties and delight in moments of joy.
Charlotte (she/her) lives in Minneapolis where she enjoys getting out for long walks with friends and their babies & dogs, cooking imperfect but delicious meals, and knitting elaborate blankets. In both her personal and professional lives, she is motivated by connection and community.
I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation. I look forward to connecting with you!
