Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started?

Taking the first step to reach out can often be the hardest part. We invite you to fill out our contact form and connect with one of us. Our therapists are happy to talk with you to help you find the right fit for what you are looking for.

What happens in a therapy session?

A therapy session is comfortable enough that you can talk about whatever you’d like, but structured enough that you are working towards your goals and feel you are making progress. We will take time to get to know you and really understand what you are looking for in therapy, then together we will create a plan to get there.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes, our therapists provide both in-person and telehealth appointments. Both are typically covered by insurance.

Will insurance cover my therapy costs?

Many people prefer to use health insurance to help cover the cost of therapy. Healthcare plans most often cover individual and family therapy. We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Healthpartners, Medical Assistance, Medica, UBH, United Health Care, UCare, and Preferred One. It is best to call the number on the back of your insurance card before your first session to inquire about your coverage for out-patient mental health therapy. If you do not have insurance, we have an hourly rate of $170 and offer a sliding fee scale to those who need this.
