Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Anusha and I am a therapist who has a passion for working in and with my community. I work to ensure that healing experiences are co-created between the therapy-seeker and the therapist, and I’ll never approach you as an expert, because you are the only expert of your own experience. I believe firmly that relationship, community, knowledge, and radical love are the roots of healing and are essential tenets in the work toward collective liberation for all oppressed peoples. In our work together, we will definitely talk about mental health symptoms and coping strategies, but we will also explore larger systems of harm, investigate the ways we show up, and uncover new ways for you to tap into your resilient, empowered, and most resourced self.

I am a second generation Indian-American immigrant and a straight cisgender woman. I strive to create space for any client exactly where they’re at, centering their held identities and lived experiences and being a collaborator in the healing process. As a healer who holds the credentials of Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) and Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), I find that creativity, movement, and joy are essential parts of the healing process.

I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds, but I have found myself most pulled to healing work with marginalized youth and their families, people of color, and those impacted by incarceration, immigration, and trauma. I can support youth (ages 12 and up), adults, couples, and families with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, interpersonal issues, racial identity development, relational challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, and more.

As the late, great Audre Lorde said: “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.”

When I’m not working, I love being outdoors, tending to my garden, reading, traveling, and cooking for my loved ones. I am an aspiring herbalist, an artist, and an avid collector of vintage and thrifted treasures. If you think we might be a good fit, please reach out!
