I believe that the therapeutic alliance between a client and therapist is something truly special that can facilitate healing and growth. Therapy can feel challenging, vulnerable, even scary, which is why I approach my clients from a place of curiosity, non-judgement, and empathy. It is so important that we honor your story, everyone deserves to have a space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted.
I am passionate about working with adults (18+) who experience anxiety, ADHD, chronic medical conditions, body image and eating disorder concerns, and trauma. I also enjoy working with folks in the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals, and people from all cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. Other topics and experiences I enjoy helping people navigate are relationships, grief, boundaries, work-burnout, college and higher education, and life transitions.
Social justice and collective healing are incredibly important to me personally and in my practice as a therapist. Exploring how systems of oppression hold us back and impact our identities, abilities, mental health, beliefs, and values are topics I frequently incorporate in my sessions and dedicate time to learning more about myself. I also use approaches based in DBT, de-colonial work, somatic-based mindfulness, ACT, Family Systems, and Attachment Theory.
Outside of work, I love cooking, gardening, crafts, and travel. I find being in nature very grounding and love to learn about Minnesota wildlife and native plants!
