Masters Level Intern

She/Her

Grand Ave Location

Hello! I am a master’s level clinical intern and I am excited to be a part of Down to Earth. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion and humor. I truly believe that every person’s growth journey is different and my role as a therapist is to learn what my clients need, and support them in a safe and non-judgmental space.

I have 7 years of experience working in the field of addiction. As a licensed drug and alcohol counselor, I have had the honor of being a part of my client’s change journey. I have enjoyed watching their personal growth and supporting them through tough times. During my counseling journey, I have had the privilege of working with diverse client populations at different residential and outpatient clinics. This experience has honed my ability to adapt my approach to different cultural backgrounds, ages, and presenting concerns. I value the importance of cultural sensitivity and actively seek to create an inclusive therapeutic environment.

My areas of interest include working with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns and life transitions. I have a specific interest in working with parenting concerns, including co-parenting, postpartum and the loss of identity that can come with being a parent. My experience with substance use disorder has also given me a particular passion to work with friends, family, and partners of someone struggling with substance use. I see clients of all ages, and approach therapy from a systemic lens, often drawing from narrative, CBT Internal Family Systems and mindfulness.

Outside of work I am married with two boys. I love collecting hobbies! There are too many to count, but some of my favorites are: Dungeon’s and Dragons, Texas Holdem, traveling, golf, knitting and crocheting, and I hope to try skydiving soon.
