Amanda completed her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel Theological Seminary.  She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and has been licensed through the state of Minnesota as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Amanda enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents, and has a special interest in working with children, particularly around the many challenges of parenting.  She has several years of experience in working with a diverse array of children and families in their homes, particularly families that have experienced trauma, loss, abuse, adoption, and foster care. Through these experiences, Amanda has come to believe in the power of healing in relationship with others. In her work, she utilizes a holistic approach to therapy, incorporating mind, body and soul care, with a focus on exploring past attachment relationships that impact our every day lives.

Amanda views every individual as unique, which is reflected in her therapeutic approach. She views her role as a partner to come alongside her clients to help them discover their strengths in order to work through life’s difficulties. She also believes that healing and growth occur in a setting where individuals feel valued and respected, and works to foster that with the individuals, couples, and families with whom she works. Amanda is passionate about her work with clients and enjoys taking a gentle and compassionate approach, while also incorporating humor and playfulness into her therapy.

Amanda has many interests, including music, art, travel, food, and the outdoors. She is a passionate believer in the healing power of time spent in nature.
